This photography competition is conducted by THE LABRADOR RETRIEVER CLUB OF VICTORIA (“the LRCV”). Vic gaming permit number 61931.

Information on how to enter and on prizes form part of the Terms and Conditions. Entry into this competition deems acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

To the extent of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other reference to this competition, these Terms and Conditions prevail.

The LRCV reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions. The LRCV may also cancel or suspend this competition if an event beyond the control of the LRCV, corrupts or affects the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition. The LRCV will disqualify any individual who has tampered with the entry process or any other aspect of this competition.

LRCV Committee Member Megan Purtill is nominated as contact for the competition, and will be running the administration and management of this competition.

Who can enter?

LRCV Photography Competition (“LRCV Photo Comp”) is only open to persons residing within Australia or any person living outside of Australia with Australian citizenship.

LRCV Photo Comp is aimed at Labrador owners, who are amateurs and enthusiasts of photography.

There is no age limit on entering LRCV Photo Comp.

Committee members of the LRCV, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter the competition.

How to Enter

Entries will be accepted from 14th August 2021 9:00AM to 10th October 2021 11:59PM. No entries will be accepted after 10th October 2021 11:59PM.

Entrants must follow the instructions provided online on www.labvic.org.au.

Entrants may only enter once, and may enter a maximum of 6 photos in their entry. Each entry will be charged a fee.

Each entry must comply with these Terms and Conditions, and payment be received.

An entry fee of $20.00 (GST inclusive) must be paid for each entry submitted (up to 6 photos). All entry fees are to be processed via the online Member Jungle portal.

LRCV is not responsible for any misdirected, late or incomprehensible entries in the competition.

Entry guidelines

Photos accepted only of Labradors. The dog must be clearly identifiable as a Labrador, and only colours as stated in the ANKC breed standard will be accepted – https://ankc.org.au/Breed/Detail/7

Photos must not contain people. Photos containing people, may breach privacy laws, and will not be posted in the online viewing of the competition.

By entering the awards, entrants grant The LRCV use of any image entered into the competition for their annual Calendar.

By entering the awards, entrants grant The LRCV permission to use any images for marketing purposes, website or social media channels. Entrants consent to the use of their images in this way. Images may be used through The LRCV’s website, newsletter and social media channels to promote the LRCV at any time in the future.

The LRCV will not be liable for any third-party misuse of images.

Each entrant acknowledges that The LRCV is under no obligation to use their entry.

If there is a point when The LRCV must cancel the competition all entry fees will be refunded.

Each entry must be comprised of original photographs produced entirely by the entrant. It must not contain any trademarks or copyright material owned in whole or in part by a third party or violate any persons’ rights of privacy.

All details provided by the entrant must be true and accurate.

Images submitted with watermarks or branding on them will not be considered for judging and will be disqualified.

Images must not plagiarise the work of any other person.

Entries that are found to breach these Terms and Conditions, will be considered invalid and, will not be eligible for judging.

Fake email addresses will be disqualified.

Judging & Prizes

Anonymous Judge external to The LRCV has been engaged to complete the judging. The Judge will be announced after entries close

Each category will have a 1st and 2nd place.

Category winners will receive a ribbon, their photo published in the annual LRCV Calendar and a printed 2022 LRCV Calendar. 2nd place will have their photo published in the annual LRCV Calendar and a printed 2022 LRCV Calendar

Winners of each category will compete in the overall awards:

Grand Prize 1st Overall winner - a rosette & A4 portrait by Artist Emma Llewelyn valued at $200

2nd Prize overall winner - wins rosette & $100 Petstock voucher

3rd Prize overall winner – wins rosette & $50 Petstock voucher

People’s Choice winner – LRCV Calendar, rosette & $50 Petstock voucher

All entries will be eligible to compete in the people’s choice winner. This will be determined by the most amount of likes on a photo as per Facebook. People may “vote” on photos by liking them, and entrants are encouraged to share the competition information to gain more votes.

Winners will be announced within 2 weeks of the closing date through our website, newsletter and social media.

All decisions from the judging panel are final and binding on each entrant and no correspondence will be entered into.

Any winner subsequently found by The LRCV to have breached these Terms and Conditions must return any awarded prize within 30 days of a request to do so. The LRCV will have the final decision on what to do with the prizes.

Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable. Prizes will be sent to the winner’s nominated address.

Winner’s names will be published on LRCV’s website and social media networks (Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram).

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook, Twitter or any other social network. The entrant is providing information to the LRCV and not to any other party. The information provided will be used in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

The Entrant by submitting photos in the LRCV Photography Competition agrees to having their entries published in a public Facebook group established and managed by the LRCV for the purpose of this competition and solely dedicated to publishing the entrants.

LRCV also uses Facebook and its own website to provide online advertisement delivery and tracking. Information on Facebook’s advertising policy and instructions on how to opt-out are available on their website.

Privacy Collection Statement

The LRCV and its related entities collect entrants’ personal information for the purpose of conducting and promoting this competition (including but not limited to determining and notifying winners). The LRCV may disclose personal information collected to an agent who is engaged for prize fulfilment. The LRCV will otherwise handle your personal information in accordance privacy laws.
