HistoryThe Labrador Retriever Club of Victoria Inc. was founded in 1952 and incorporated in 1991.
The aim of the club is to promote in every way general improvement in the quality, breeding, exhibiting, and working of Labrador Retrievers, and to educate and encourage members, breeders, exhibitors and judges to abide by the requirements of the standard as approved for the Labrador Retriever by the Victorian Canine Association. To conduct and support shows, parades, trials and competitions; to promote public interest in the Labrador Retriever and to endeavour to see that good fellowship and sportsmanship exists amongst members. During the year we usually conduct two Retrieving Trials, a Championship Show, Restricted Obedience Trial and Rally-O Trial, an Open Retrieving Ability Test for Gundogs Trial, a members competition and fun day, all of which are held for the purpose of promoting the objectives of the Club. Our main forms of communication are our monthly newsletter, Facebook page and this website. New members are welcome and details on how to join can be found on the membership page. |
